Volunteer: WSU Volunteer Note-takers Needed

The Office of Disability Services will be in need of volunteer Note-takers for some Spring 2022 classes.

Note-taking Requirements:

TRAINING: It is a requirement that you watch this training video and pass the quiz: https://learn.nationaldeafcenter.org/courses/note-taker-training. Student must email certificate of passing to dsnotetaker@wichita.edu within 1 week of accepting position. NOTES: DO take legible, detailed notes for every class of lectures, class/group discussions, videos, presentations, diagrams/illustrations and any other pertinent information. Please label notes with names of speakers (including comments/questions made by students). HOW TO SHARE NOTES:
You will need to set up a OneDrive, OneNote or Google Drive folder for the class. You can access these programs in Office 365 through your MyWSU home page. You must share the folder with dsnotetaker@wichita.edu. Notes need to be uploaded to your shared folder within 24 hours of the end of each class meeting. If you are unable to attend a class, you must email dsnotetaker@wichita.edu with a valid reason and include the name of the person you have found to take notes in your absence.

**If all requirements are satisfied, the Note-taker will receive a Letter of Commendation for Community Service at the conclusion of the semester.
