Volunteer: Tutoring at Northwest High SchoolNorthwest Students have an opportunity for free after school tutoring Thursdays from 3:30-5:30. Volunteers would help tutor students in the contents they feel most comfortable with. In addition to the obvious help of tutoring the students, volunteers would also be providing students with more community connections and more perspectives about future opportunities as well as different perspectives about the world around them in general. This will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursdays when school is in session.Fall 2025 Spring 2026 09/04 01/08 09/11 01/15 09/18 01/29 09/25 02/05 10/02 02/26 10/09 03/05 10/23 03/26 10/30 04/16 11/6 04/23 11/20 04/30 12/4 05/07 12/11 05/14 Individuals do not have to be available for the full 2 hours or for every date. Northwest site coordinators will work with volunteers to identify their availability before tutoring begins.Specific needs include tutors comfortable in the 4 core subject areas: Science, Math, History and Language Arts. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer registration form with Wichita Public Schools before starting their volunteer work.
