Who We Are

The Wichita Children’s Home is a non-profit organization that offers the only emergency, temporary, and residential care for children in our community. We are open 24/7 and rely on community support to continue to meet the needs of and ensure the safety of children in need.

The Children's Home are needing volunteers to assist with marking the parking lot for our annual Polo on the Plains event on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 9:00am – 12:00noon. Volunteers will use a chalk marking machine to outline parking spaces for guest as they arrive for the Polo fundraiser. The position will require physical movement which includes, walking, bending and pushing the marking machine.

What We Do

To provide quality crisis services and temporary shelter and housing to children and adolescents. The home offers round-the-clock immediate crisis-intervention services to children and youth from birth to 22 years of age and is one of a few emergency temporary residential shelters in our community.
