the Medical Loan Closet runs on volunteer power, we need volunteers during the daytime hours Tuesday through Friday to help in our warehouse. from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM shifts are variable and flexible.
some positions are
sorting volunteer-helps go through donations that come into our warehouse cleaning them and putting the equipment or supplies on the shelf for our clients to use. no experience necessary we will train. some medical knowledge of equipment and supplies are useful.
repair volunteers-will work on repairing items that come into the warehouse that needs minor repairs wheelchairs bath chairs walkers etc. no experience necessary we will train
client services. we'll work with our clients one on one to help them get the supplies and equipment needed for their loved one or for themselves. will help with paperwork. some medical knowledge of equipment and supplies are useful and helpful during your shift however we will train.
front desk volunteer. is the frontline position to the Medical Loan Closet opposite experience is necessary will be answering telephones returning voice messages and other task assigned. this person will greet our clients as they come into the door. and will be cashier doing paperwork and much much more. some experience is necessary in office work however we will train. computer skills are needed for this position.
office volunteer. this position will help our executive director and the chief of operations with research task mailings and filing lots of a computer task will be assigned emails and scanning. some office experience is necessary however we will train.
