Description

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is appointed by a judge to be an independent voice in court for an abused and/or neglected child.

A big part of an advocate's duty is to visit with the child at least once a month.  The appointed volunteer will work with the child or children until they are placed in loving permanent homes and the case is closed. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer offers a needed constant adult presence in their lives.

Most volunteer spend 5-10 hours a month volunteering.

30 hours of training will be provided, and background checks will be performed before being appointed.

Get more information at CASA or call our office at 316.866.2920.
