Welcome back, Shockers! As you get into your groove in this spring semester, consider volunteering in a way that will build on your skills and expand your applied learning experiences. VolunteerICT is here to help you find the perfect volunteer opportunity, communicate with community partner agencies, and track the awesome work you do. Here is a quick start guide that can help you use all the features of volunteerICT.
As you start to add hours to your account, you may see a notification that you have reached a benchmark. VolunteerICT will automatically let you know when you receive any of these three service designations: Making a Difference, Outstanding Service, and ICT Community Champion. It's a little way for us to say "you're great!"
Additionally, we love to know why you're volunteering. If you are doing service as part of a course or academic requirement, we will ask you to name that requirement when you respond. If you want to find opportunities that allow your group to volunteer together, you can find those opportunities by using the "Accepting Teams" filter.
We're powered by a passionate group of people who want to help you serve our community. It would also be our joy to help you find a volunteer role or resolve pesky technology problems. This semester we're rolling out the volunteerICT Open Lab every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in RSC 221. Feel free to drop in with any questions or concerns! You can also contact us any time at volunteerict@wichita.edu.
We are looking forward to all the good we will do this semester. To follow our progress visit our Volunteer Impact Page.
