Harbor House provides a safe, 24/7 shelter for survivors of domestic abuse and outreach services.
Child care volunteers provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children staying at Harbor House shelter while parents attend, in house groups, life skills classes, apply for jobs and housing, and during case manager meetings. Child care volunteers may work with a group size of one to six and children of all ages.
Volunteers cannot be in a private locked office space 1:1 with a child at any time.
All volunteers in this role must pass background checks, including fingerprinting, and complete VIRTUS training.
