We have several opportunities to utilize volunteers with medical backgrounds--RN, Medical Assistant, Nurse's Aid, etc.
Opportunities include:
- Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning
- Take temps, fill out surveys with new men
- Hand out linens, put clean linens away
- Help with seeing patients which would involve taking vital signs etc.
- Restocking med room supplies and 1st aid kits
IMPORTANT side note--If at all possible, please bring your own Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) as we have a minimal number of masks and gowns. However, if you have some type of medical training and desire to volunteer, we’ll make sure you have the PPE you need to assist in the tasks that require it. Also, any men who are ill are being quarantined.
