We are looking for volunteers to help with a community event called The Big Float. The event allows people to float down the Arkansas River on tubes from Cowtown to the WSU Rowing dock at RiverVista Apartments. Proceeds from the event go to Wichita Clean Streams for future events such as The Big Float, Lights on the River, and monthly river cleanups.
Volunteers will be outside for the entire time. Sun protection will be available for rest out of the sun. Water and snacks will be provided to volunteers.
We need volunteers to help at the following locations:
- Check-in Booth (12:30 pm - 3:30pm @ Cowtown)
- Tube Put-in Location (1:15 pm - 3:45 pm @ Cowtown)
- Tube Take-out Location (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm @ RiverVista Apartments)
- Parking and Bus Pick-up Location (12:30 pm - 3:30 pm @ RiverVista Apartments)
Please submit preferred location. We will try to accommodate, but may not be able to depending on how many volunteers want to work at each location. In that case, it will be first come, first serve on preferred location.
